Preventable injuries--from fire and burns, motor vehicle crashes, poisonings, drowning and falls--are the #1 cause of death of children, teens, and adults up to 44 years old. The mission of Prevention 1st is to educate children, parents, teachers, service providers and others that such injuries are largely preventable, and to provide effective, evaluated, research-based training and materials to promote safer behavior.
