Our Partnerships
Prevention 1st works with local and national agencies and coalitions to further our mission of creating and distributing research-based injury prevention training, education and materials.
We work with Fireproof Children, which provides research-based training and educational materials on fire safety and injury prevention, to develop and deliver many of our programs.
We partner with the Greater Rochester Chapter of the American Red Cross to make After the Fire: The Teachable Moment available to classroom teachers and with the Rochester Fire Department on this and many other programs.
Through our advocacy the Finger Lakes Health Services Agency, a non-profit community health planning organization, has incorporated injury prevention as part of its Healthi Kids initiative.
We are members of the Fire Safety Council, which meets regularly in Washington, D.C. to address national fire safety issues.
We work with numerous Home Fire Drill partners to promote our biannual message of Change Your Clock;Test Your Alarms; Practice Your Home Fire Drill; Alarm Goes Off You Get Out!www.homefiredrill.org™
